The Pentateuch: MY FIRST HUNT FOR THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
By Ayana S. Hull
The Pentateuch contains fifty-four stories, the last fifty-three of which are taken from the first five books of the Bible, Genesis–Deuteronomy. Those books are also called the Pentateuch—meaning the first five books. The first story in The Pentateuch, which provides a brief introduction of God and Lucifer (before the beginning of human life on earth), constitutes the fifty-fourth story. The five books of the Pentateuch are referred to as the books of law as they record the instructions given to the Israelites through Moses which the Israelites were to follow. History records that these first five books were written by Moses, except for the last portion of Deuteronomy (which speaks about Moses’ death). These first five books not only set out the creation story and lay down the laws for the Israelites, whilst recording their journey from Egypt to the Promised Land, but also lay the foundation for the coming of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, as they reveal the Israelites as the people chosen by God, the people that would benefit from the covenant He made with Abraham and the people through whose lineage the Messiah (the savior of sinners) would come.
The Pentateuch re-presents the first five books of the Bible in a simplified and modern way for tweens, teenagers and young adults so that they might find the Bible more interesting and wish to read it. In an age where the majority of us as parents/guardians are challenged to ensure that our children have the biblical foundation they need in order to make critical life decisions, we consequently see our children faltering repeatedly when making these decisions. You would agree that restoration to this aspect of their lives is urgent and The Pentateuch embraces this approach by breaking down the Holy Scriptures into short, simple and easy to comprehend stories, illustrating morals, principles and examples that young people can utilise as a daily manual or devotional in shaping their busy lives. Whilst it is a book that any person of any age can read and understand, it was particularly written with a pre-teen, teen, young-adult target audience in mind. It is an introduction only and is not intended to be a full treatment of the Pentateuch.
In order to provide clarity and understanding to the target audience, the King James Version and the New International Version of the Holy Bible were relied upon and all quotations are credited to those versions of the Holy Bible as applicable. It is my hope
that the young finds The Pentateuch to be a good biblically-based resource which can aid them in their daily lives and I pray that The Pentateuch fills the void it was intended to fill as well as assist in leading young lives, in particular, to Christ. It is an introductory must-have to God’s word, appropriately pitched for every young person in every home in every country across the world.

The Monogamy Mystery: NATURAL OR UNNATURAL?
By John I. Cline
The Monogamy Mystery is a though-provoking advances discussion which addresses the issue of monogamy. It addresses the important questions as to whether monogamy is natural or unnatural and whether a mongogamous existence can truly be achieved by mankind. It studies monogamous from a biblical, sociological and spirtual perspective and arrives at a most logical conclusion. Infidelity has been a destructive force to the institution of marriage. Hence, it is important for each of us to understand the root of infidelity and learn how to conquer it inorder to enjoy more fulfilling lives. Many husbands and wives find themselves in the middle of extra-marital affairs, not because they want to destroy their marriages, not because they do not love their spouses, and not because they are inherently evil or bad-intentiond. My total life experiences have brought me to a place where I formed the view that it has become urgent to unearth some necessary truths and understanding in an effort to stop, correct, and guide future generations of persons who opt for committed relationships in their ultimate pursuit of happiness. The Momogamy Mystery is the ultimate relationship companion on the real causes of infidelity in interpersonal relationships.
